Cody’s first encounter with an instrument came when they slammed their hand against a cheap acoustic guitar and listened to the sound of the strings ringing out. Not long after, they became fascinated with a small keyboard their father had salvaged from a dump. Slowly, they taught themselves to play songs from movies and video games by ear, which eventually led to the creation of original compositions.
At a young age, Cody contributed music to internet flash games and animations made by his friends. In his late teens, he made his foray into the Californian punk scene where he played in spontaneous garage and warehouse shows.
In 2014, Cody built his own home studio and set his sights on a career in music composition. Their journey has been rich with experience, earned through diving headfirst into the creative process.
2021 marked the year where he began his collaboration with the game company Simulated Minds and created the soundtrack for Cry of Athena.
In 2024, they joined forces again for their newest VR title Plastic Battlegrounds which garnered high praise and was one of the top selling VR games of the year.
Now, in 2025, Cody has over 30 years of musicality to share. He lives in California with his partner, vocalist and artist Kayla Gutierrez. Outside the studio, they enjoy birdwatching and exchanging absurd noises with one another.
